Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to 61 calls during the period July 8-21.

There were 22 medical calls, 26 trauma calls, and 13 standby/other calls.

The medical calls included 4 respiratory, 4 cardiac, 2 stroke-related, 1 diabetic and 11 miscellaneous.

There were 26 trauma calls: 13 vehicular trauma calls and 13 non-vehicular.

Thirty-six persons were transported to the hospital; 25 were not transported.

The ages were one infant to age eight, 7 ages 9-21, 29 ages 22 to 60, and 24 over the age of 60. Twenty-five were males; 36 were females.

Twelve calls were between the hours of midnight and 8 am; 27 between 8 am and 4 pm; 22 between 6 pm and midnight.
