Local Firm Joins Bridgestone/Firestone Program

Newtown Tire & Service has qualified to become a Bridgestone/Firestone TireStarz tire dealer. Newtown Tire & Service has been doing business in Newtown for 18 months.

Newtown Tire & Service now offers a complete line of Bridgestone, Firestone tires, as well as complete automotive repairs such as brakes, wheel alignment, air condition service, oil changes, tune-ups, front end work, and much more. The business is located at 47-49 South Main Street, and  is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5 pm; Saturday, 7:30 am to 2 pm. Closed Sundays.

The goal of a TireStarz dealers is to help customers make an informed tire buying decision; provide quality products at honest prices; offer tire warranties that are honored nationwide; have a brand of tire for customers’ brand of driving; and give customers the courteous service they deserve.

To become a TireStarz dealer, a business must have a clean and professionally run retail location and offer top-of-the-line customer service. In addition, Bridgestone/Firestone requires that a minimum of eighty percent of the retailer’s employees be certified for their knowledge of tire maintenance and specification issues. Newtown Tire & Service also gains support benefits such as product education, market and advertising materials, and a line of nationally advertised products.
