The Buddha Bash outdoor charity music festival benefiting REACH Newtown has been scheduled for Saturday, July 11, from noon to midnight at the Big Buddha Cigar Lounge, 27 Hawleyville Road.

The even will feature ten bands, and 12 hours of food trucks and beverage vendors, all for one fantastic cause. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Some featured bands are New Desperations, Dan’s Garage, Charm City Exiles, and Quit Your Day Job.

REACH Newtown is a nonprofit organization that empowers kids to believe in their inner greatness by providing:

*A one-to-one mentorship program available to more than 100 children throughout the entire school year.

*Intensive and individualized support geared toward at-risk children.

*Weekly expeditions providing children with the opportunity to take part in activities they normally would not be able to do, such as hiking, fishing, and kayaking.

*An engaging six-week summer program — team building games, health and wellness education, academic support, boating and fishing, and outdoor expeditions.
