Melissa Moeckel To Russell Bennett, Jr

Melissa Moeckel and Russell Bennett, Jr, of Waterbury announce their engagement.

Ms Moeckel is the daughter of Ernest and Penelope Moeckel of Danbury.

Mr Bennett is the son of Russell Bennett, Sr, of Ansonia and Beverly Bennett of Newtown.

A December wedding is planned.

Ms Moeckel is the granddaughter of the late Edmund and Adelaide Moeckel and the late Conrad and Rosella O’Neal. She graduated from Danbury High School and the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science degree in education and a bachelor of arts degree in music. Ms Moeckel is a middle school and high school band director for the Watertown School District.

Mr Bennett is the grandson of Andrew and Francis Hermanson, May Bennett, and the late Harold Bennett. He graduated from Newtown High School and the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology. Mr Bennett is currently working toward his master’s degree in history.
