Marion V. Edery

Telephone Pioneer

Marion V. Edery, 95, of Nunnawauk Meadows, died July 5, at the Filosa Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, Danbury. She was born in New York City on October 18, 1913, a daughter of Thomas and Kathleen (Towers) Clarke. Mrs Edery was the wife of the late Cornelius J. Edery.

 She was a longtime resident of the Bronx, N.Y., and was an employee of New York Telephone Company until her retirement.

A resident of Newtown for 15 years, Mrs Edery was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Mrs Edery is survived by three sons, Thomas P. Edery and his wife, Lynn, of Harrisburg, Penn., Michael P. Edery and his wife, Geraldine, of Easton, Penn., and James R. Edery and his wife, Nora, of Brookfield; a daughter, Geraldine Russell and her husband, Dr John Russell of Armonk, N.Y.; a brother, John Clarke of Vestal, N.Y.; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, July 9. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
