Waterbury Hospital Offers

              Class For New Moms

WATERBURY — If you are a new mom looking to interact with other moms or for some time out of the house with your infant, the Kid Care Club of Waterbury Hospital is offering a new eight-week session just for you. “Mommy and Me” is a special class that will offer moms and their babies, between six weeks and six months, quality one-on-one time, as well as a variety of health and wellness information.

The classes will be offered on Wednesdays, August 9 through September 27. Healthcare professionals will help answer questions ranging from “When will my baby roll over?” to “When should I switch my infant to milk?” Session topics will include presentations on infant CPR and choking prevention, car seat safety, infant growth and development, common childhood illnesses, keeping physically fit, adjusting to parenthood, and nutrition.

Pre-registration is required, by calling the Kid Care Club of Waterbury Hospital at 203/575-5200.

Classes will be held from 10 am to noon at the Brass Mill Center mall on the lower level, next to Champs. Timex of Middlebury has made a donation to help offset some of the costs of the eight-week program. The fee is $32 for the eight-week session.
