Ford Off Road

Police report that motorist Daniel Monckton, 21, of 126 Toddy Hill Road, who was driving a Ford Mustang southward on Little Brook Lane on July 6, had just negotiated a curve in the road and was traveling fast, when he lost control of the vehicle. The Ford veered off the right side of the road, struck several small trees and then went off an embankment, dropping about 20 feet and landing rightside up near railroad tracks near 24 Little Brook Lane, police said.

Monckton, who was not injured, got out of the heavily damaged auto and walked home, police said. Police said they issued him an infraction ticket for making a restricted turn.

Appleblossom Sideswipe

Police report that motorist Stacey Zimmerman, 30, of 20 Kaechele Drive was driving a 1999 Saturn SW-2 station wagon southward on a curve on Appleblossom Lane at about 9:35 pm July 3, as another motorist, who was traveling northward, sideswiped the Saturn, damaging it. The offending vehicle continued onward without stopping, police said.

Neither Zimmerman nor a passenger in the Saturn were injured, police said. Zimmerman described the offending vehicle to police as “ a small car.”
