Cell Phones And Driving Don't Mix
Cell Phones And Driving Donât Mix
To the Editor:
On Monday, June 7, I was involved in a motor vehicle on Flat Swamp Road. I hit a tree, and upon impact my car flipped. I am fortunate that there was no one in the car with me and that no one else was involved in the accident.
I learned itâs not important to talk to someone on your cell phone while you are driving. No matter how important you may think the call be itâs not worth risking your life.
I was blessed to escape from the vehicle with only a few scratches. As I was crawling out from the vehicle a woman in a silver van pulled up to see what had happened. Though I donât remember her name I do know that she was very sweet to take the time out of her day to help comfort me. I would like to thank her and the other lady who was there who also helped me.
Many thanks go to the Newtown EMS, Police, and Dodgingtown Fire Department for their help that day too.
Sincerely
Laurel Nosal
