Angela L. Sabatinello

Angela (Leonard) Sabatinello, 92, of Newtown, widow of William J. Sabatinello, died peacefully at home June 30.

She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late James Leonard and Theresa (Gianetti) Leonard. She lived in Hartford and Wethersfield most of her life, moving to Newtown four years ago to live with her daughter Terri-Anne and son-in-law John Martocci. She was a very devout Catholic and a member of the Immaculate Conception Rosary Society.

In addition to her loving daughter and son-in-law, she leaves behind three dedicated grandchildren, Matthew Martocci and his finance Lisa Cicchetti of Rocky Hill, Amy Martocci of Newtown, and Keri Ellen Martocci of Stamford.

She will be greatly missed by her brother, Frank Leonard and his wife Babs of Wethersfield and her loving nephews and their wives, Jim and Nancy Leonard of Wethersfield and Frank and Kathy Leonard of Richmond, Va.; and her niece, Gracemary Faenza of Wethersfield.

She was predeceased by her brother Donald, his wife Kay, and his son James.

Angela’s family would like to thank the Hospice of Western Connecticut and Priority Care for the wonderful home care she received.

Funeral services were held July 6 at the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at Brooklawn, Rocky Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St James Church, Rocky Hill. Interment followed in Mount St Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
