Amazing Optical Illusions At Discovery Museum

BRIDGEPORT — The Discovery Museum & Planetarium has opened a new interactive exhibit for children of all ages.

“Maze-A-Palooza,” a 2,500-square-foot exhibit, offers visitors the fun and science of optical illusions with over 30 different optical effects hidden around every corner of a giant life-sized maze. The challenge is be to negotiate the maze and experience the puzzles and illusions while moving toward the goal of finding the way out. “Themed mazes are powerful kinesthetic learning tools,” says Linda Malkin, the acting president of The Discovery Museum. “The synergy between the physical act of exploring a maze while mentally interacting with the curriculum engages and educates visitors of all ages and creates a memorable experience.”

“Maze-A-Palooza” will be on view all summer, until September 17.

Museum admission is $8.50 for adults, $7 for college students, senior citizens and most children. Children under 5 are free.
