AIDS Ministry Thanks Seniors

To the Editor:

We would like to publicly thank the Newtown Senior Center for all of their help that they give us throughout the year. Your food drives have enabled us to continue to feed over 50 families through The Giving Pantry, a food and personal care item pantry for those living with HIV/AIDS. Your handmade afghans have kept our clients warm, but even more importantly, have given them a tangible reminder that people care. Having a handmade blanket makes being ill or cold a little easier to bear, particularly when you can feel the love that was put into it.

You are all angels who make a difference in peoples’ lives. We are lucky ones who see the looks of joy and gratitude on the faces of our clients when they receive your gifts. We just want to be sure that you know how much your help means to staff and clients alike! Thank you!!!

Sincerely,

Meg Currie, Director, Direct Care Services

Gabriela Ambrose, Coordinator, DCS

Bill Draxdorf, Food Coordinator
