Frank Richard Roos of Dunnellon, Fla., born on September 3, 1921, in Danbury, died July 5 at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, Fla.
He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Roos of Newtown.
Mr Roos served as an anti-aircraft gunner with the 377th Coast Artillery battalion in Normandy, France, Germany, and England during World War II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is also survived by his wife of 55 years, Fredericka Roos of Dunnellon, Fla; sons, David Roos of Danbury and Dennis Roos of Naples, Fla.; another daughter, Donna Roos of Inglis, Fla; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala, Fla., on July 9.
Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
