Dinner In The Park

I see the Democratic Town Committee is sponsoring “Dinner-in-the-Park” at Treadwell Park July 14 starting at 6 pm. Chef Jay Gill has planned a gourmet menu including sizzling steaks, roast chicken and all the wonderful things that go with such a meal. Beer and wine (for a donation) will be available. An outstanding jazz band, The Judson Jazz Quintet, will play standards from the 30s, 40s and 50s as part of the evening entertainment. I’ve also been told there are wonderful items to be auctioned, such as fabulous trips, tickets for sports events, auto tires, plus other exciting items for home decoration. A couple of special auction items… lunch with Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, and another lunch with Representative Jim Maloney – what an opportunity to get the ear of these leaders over lunch.

All Newtown is invited to this summer event; however, no tickets will be sold at the gate. Tickets are $25 per person and are available by calling 426-4098. Dinner-in-the-Park sounds great for my family. Come join all of us at Treadwell Park. I’m calling for my tickets today… hope you do the same!
