Ladies Day
Some familiar faces as well as some new faces made their way to Rock Ridge for Ladies Dayâs Even Holes format. A reoccurring theme provided yet another scorecard playoff determining the winner. Winner Julie Davies shot a 34 and was followed by Janet Duffy, also shooting a 34.

Menâs League
With the summer in full gear, participation has increased every week during Menâs League play. Cleaning house this week, Mike Johnson and Bob Tendler tied for first place. Close behind by merely a half point difference was Art Weisgerber in third, followed by John Gschwind in fourth.

Parent/Child
Frank and Thomas Gavel took on a full field trying to repeat as Parent/Child Champions. The competition was fierce all the way to the end. Competitors Robert and Josh Houle matched the Gavels shot for shot, but in the end they were out-dueled by the reigning champs, who won in a scorecard playoff.

Mixed Firecracker
There were some fireworks on the golf course for Rock Ridgeâs Fourth of July Mixed Firecracker tourney. Husbands and wives teamed up in a battle for the best. Low gross champion and past winners of this event went to Dr Jack and Janet Duffy, who shot a 77. The low net championship went to Mike and Susan Portnoy, who shot a 2 under 68.

Miller Qualifies
Newtown Country Club Golf Professional Paul Miller qualified for the State Open at Woodbridge Country Club on July 5. The low 20 of 140 golfers were selected. Miller shot a 74.
