Mary Ann Crisalli, 64, wife of John Crisalli of Pilgrim Lane, Sandy Hook, died Wednesday, July 6, in Danbury Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on February 20, 1941 a daughter of Ferdinand and Rose (Buro) Gaviglia.
Mrs Crisalli has been a resident of Newtown since 1974. She was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church and had previously been a teacher in the religious education program there. She formerly was the cafeteria manager at Newtown Middle School.
In addition to her husband, Mrs Crisalli is survived by two sons, John Crisalli, Jr and his wife, Donna, of New Milford, and Joseph Crisalli and his wife, Marion, of Newtown; a daughter, Theresa Mitchell and her husband, David, of Brookfield; three brothers, Vincent Gaviglia of Staten Island, N.Y., Fred Gaviglia of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Lewis Gaviglia of Northboro, Mass. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Amanda, Alicia, Joseph, Kayla, and Anthony.
Mary Ann Crisalli was a beloved wife, mother, and meme (grandmother). She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Monday, July 11, in St Rose of Lima Church. Cremation will be private.
Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 6 pm.
