Mathew Frank Kokoszka
Mathew Frank Kokoszka, 79, of Westport, beloved husband of Dorothy (OâNeill) Kokoszka, died on July 5 at Norwalk Hospital.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one son, Matthew Kokoszka, Jr, of Westport; one daughter, Sharon L. Soltes of Norwalk; one sister, Wanda Palmieri of Bloomingdale, Ill.; two brothers, Stanley Kokoszka of Sandy Hook and Walter Kokoszka of Holiday, Fla; one grandson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Frances Carusone.
Mr Kokoszka was born on September 16, 1922, in Westport, son of the late John and Veronica (Stapkowska) Kokoszka, and had been a lifelong resident. He was employed by Westport Lumber, and then took a job with Frank Leach, silk screening wallpaper for many years. He then was employed by the Bullard Company for 25 years. He was a life member of the South Norwalk Boat Club, and a member of the Greens Farms Volunteer Fire Department 5. Mr. Kokoszka was a US Army veteran of World War II.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on July 9 in St Luke Church, 84 Long Lots Road, Westport. Interment followed in Assumption Cemetery, Greens Farms.
The Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport, was in charge of arrangements.
