La Leche League To Meet July 16
La Leche League To Meet July 16
La Leche League of Newtownâs series of meetings continues on Tuesday, July 16, with the topic âBreastfeeding: Questions Mothers Ask.â Questions are welcome from those who attend the meeting.
The group will meet at 10 am in the parlor room on the main floor of Newtown Congregational Church House Offices, 41-A Main Street (behind Newtown Savings Bank). Visitors are asked to park behind the building or in the town hall parking lot, not in Newtown Savings Bankâs parking area.
Attending La Leche League meetings can help anyone learn about breastfeeding from nursing mothers. At these monthly meetings, mothers share not only their questions and concerns but also the benefits and joys of breastfeeding. Babies and toddlers are welcome, and mothers-to-be are especially encouraged to attend.
There will be no separate toddler meeting this month; mothers with toddlers are encouraged to attend the regular meeting and bring any toddler-related questions.
La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. All women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to attend the monthly group meetings or call a leader for breastfeeding help. For further information, call a group leader at 364-1617 or 426-6242.
