Volunteer Budget Coaches Wanted Â
Volunteer Budget Coaches Wanted Â
STAMFORD â The Womenâs Business Development Council (WBDC) is seeking to expand its pool of budget coach volunteers. And those volunteer budget coaches do not need to be financial experts.
Budget coaching consists of one-on-one sessions in which clients learn to:
*Set personal financial goals;
*Establish and implement a personal budget;
*Review their credit score;
*Build an action plan for achieving their financial goals.
The coaching program is a threeâfour-month commitment, starting in November that requires eight to12 hours per client after the initial training session. Coaches must be able to:
*Attend two three-hour training sessions (July 25 and July 31);
*Meet with client for three one-hour monthly sessions (total of fourâsix hours including prep time);
*Speak with your client via phone for three 30â60-minute monthly sessions (twoâthree hours).
