The Best School Year Ever
To the Editor:
The end of the academic year is a wonderful time to sit back and reflect on all the people who helped to make our 2006-2007 school year the best ever. Thank you to Karen Pinto who helped Tyler and Travis find their creative side and produce beautiful pieces of pottery.
Tylerâs soccer coaches, Paul Piazza and Jeff Tolson, who always had a smile and words of encouragement, we thank you.
Travis loved playing soccer under the direction of coach Scott Poarch. His kind words and enthusiasm meant so much.
All the men and women of Boy Scout Troop 270 and Cub Scout Pack 170 who put together a fun and complete program, your efforts do not go unnoticed. Scouting is such a benefit to our boys and it is because of your dedication.
Ethan loved the time spent with Mrs Murdy, Mrs M. (Miklaszewski) and Miss Melissa (McKee) at Newtown Congregational Preschool. Thank you for remembering that using scissors and glue are just as important as learning your ABCs.
Annette Sullivan, thank you for showing Tyler and Travis the exciting world of horseback riding. They have hobbled away with a greater understanding of this phenomenal animal.
And finally, a huge thank you to Ethan Elgersma, Andy Dobos, and the rest of the staff at Great Hollow Wilderness School in New Fairfield. We appreciate all the effort they put into the programs so our children understand and appreciate nature on a grander scale.
