NEWTOWN AREA RESIDENTS FEATURED RICHTER’S FAIRY TALE THEATER SERIES: Leah Nashel of Newtown and Caitlin Gibney of Sandy Hook are featured  in Musicals at Richter’s Fairy Tale Theater, a play series for children ages 3-12, performed Saturday mornings at 11 am July 7-28 on the grounds of the Wooster School, 91 Miry Brook Road in Danbury. Presented by an ensemble of young actors under the direction of Danbury educator Elyse Jasensky, the productions this year will include Aladdin on July 7, “Selected Stories from Aesop’s Fables” on July 14, The Swan Princess and The Dancing Princesses on July 21, and The Wizard of Oz on July 28. Each hour-long show is introduced by Mother Goose (Ms Jasensky), who also serves as narrator, and includes arts and crafts activities, plenty of audience participation, and special surprise guests. Grounds open at 10:30 for the 11 am shows. Bring blankets or chairs for seating on the lawn. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased at the door. A small snack and drink concession is available.
