Doug Hartline & Friends
DANBURY â The Charles Ives Center for the Arts, Inc., working in conjunction with Connecticut Conservatory of the Performing Arts of New Milford, will present the second performance in the newly formed Performing Arts Series at Ives Concert Park. Doug Hartline & Friends will perform âAn Evening of Jazzâ on Friday, July 13, at 7:30 pm.

Doug Hartline, who grew up in Fairfield County, may be one of Connecticutâs best-kept secrets. His CDs â A Gentle Presence, Itâs Nice To Be Home and From The Heart â demonstrate his ability to write strong, memorable melodies with an optimistic breeziness flowing through every song. His pop/jazz music is buoyant, soulful, bright and positive.
The Ives Centerâs Performing Arts Series will conclude with a production of The Importance of Being Earnest, Oscar Wildeâs comedy of errors performed by a cast of ten 13-year-olds and ten 18-year-olds playing adult roles, on Sunday, August 26, at 3 pm.
The Charles Ives Center for the Arts, Inc., is within a beautiful 39-acre outdoor amphitheatre located at Western Connecticut State Universityâs westside campus. For more information regarding Ives Concert Park, call 837-9226 or visit www.ivesconcertpark.com.
