Title: Editor

Duties: I am responsible for the weekly editorial, gathering information for The Top Of The Mountain column (meow), and writing the semi-regular Nourishments columns. I edit the stories and letters to the editor for each week before passing them on to the copy editor for a final read through, assign articles to editors and reporters and then work with layout personnel to determine which articles will go into the weekly edition, and confer with associate editors regarding posting of online articles and social media. I interact with the public so far as newspaper policy goes, as well as to find out what is making the town tick. As editor, my job is to keep the weekly flow of information as timely and accurate as possible and see that we meet deadlines in order to bring the news to readers in a manner they expect. I am always happy to hear from members of the community.
