Loved Her Family

Cynthia Staiger Kantor, 55, of Sandy Hook, formerly of Stamford, died June 19. She was born in Bedford Hills, N.Y., July 31, 1952, to Diana Medeiros Staiger and the late Larry Staiger.

Ms Kantor was an avid gardener and artist. She worked for Preferred Insurance in Newtown. She was also a member of the Newtown Chamber of Commerce. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her mother, survivors include a son, Brandon Ippolito and his wife, Sara; a daughter, Justine Cardillo; two sisters, Dorinda Staiger Leonard and Leslie Staiger; and two grandchildren, Ava and Kellen Ippolito. She is also survived by aunts and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 23 at the Church of St Cecelia, Stamford. Interment followed at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Stamford.
