Operation CARE

The Connecticut State Police will be on patrol for the July 4 weekend holiday with increased numbers of troopers on patrol.

Operation CARE (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) will be in effect the entire weekend, starting Friday and running through Sunday, July 6.

Public Safety Commissioner Arthur Spada said, “wear your seatbelt, a seat belt can save your life, and remember courtesy on the highways can be contagious. Set the example. Drive with courtesy.”

This year the state police goal is to do everything possible to try to prevent fatal crashes from happening on Connecticut highways this holiday weekend.
