Newtown Tennis Association (NTA) has several announcements for members, prospective members, and all tennis fans in the area.

Members Welcome: Membership is $20 for all individuals or families. Members who paid for renewals of their 2020 membership have had their payments applied to their 2021 membership due to the pandemic.

Drop In And Play: Drop-in play resumed in April and is offered in the following categories for members (prospective members are welcome to give it a try and join to continue playing): Sundays at Treadwell Park, beginning at 9:30 am; Ladies Night Tuesdays at Dickinson Park, from 5:30 pm until dark; and mixed drop-in Wednesdays at Dickinson from 5:30 pm until dark. All levels are welcome.

Tennis Open: Registration is open for the Newtown Open and Junior Classic. The Open will be held September 18 and 19; the cost is $25 to enter. The Junior Classic is set for October 2 and 3, with an entry fee of $20. Tourneys will be held at Treadwell Park and Newtown High School.

T-shirts: Newtown Tennis Association T-shirts are available for $10. All proceeds go to the FAITH Food Pantry. E-mail tennisnewtown@gmail.com for information.
