St Rose Track Highlights
The St Rose Track & Field team placed third in a field of seven teams at the 2010 Greater Danbury Parochial League Championship Meet held at Immaculate High School in Danbury in late June.
 Four relay teams broke school records: third/fourth grade boys 4x100, Matt Gerbo, Jeremy Fisher, Mark Kendziorski, and Ryan McNerney (1:09.36); fifth/sixth grade girls 4x100, Marina Renzi, Anna Brubaker, Molly Begg, and Bridget Duero (1:06.59); fifth/sixth grade boys 4x100, Alex Gerbo, Tony Leonardi, Alex Michaud, and Matt Pindell (1:04.53); and 4x200 girls, Brianne Moulder, Kaitlyn Sugarman, Caroline Keane, and Haley Ryan (2:13.78).
Molly Begg, Grade 6, out dueled Katie Jaminski of St Maryâs Ridgefield to win both the 1600m and 800m races. Molly set the girls parochial league record and the St Rose record in both races with a time of 6:00.90 in the 1600m and a time of 2:50.06 in the 800m. Rebecca Racz, Grade 2, took home three gold medals, for wins in the 200m (38.22), 400m (1.36.19), and long jump (5-1).
Others setting St Rose School records included: seventh/eighth grade girls Kaitlyn Sugarman, 100m (14.97), Kathryn DâAlessandro, softball throw (87-10); fifth/sixth grade girls Anna Brubaker, 100m (15.63), Bridget Duero, softball throw (107-7); seventh/eighth grade boys Jack Brubaker, 400m (1.08.29), Austin Adamcheck, shot put (32-5); third/fourth grade boys Wesley Scriven, 400m (1.19.46); fifth/sixth grade boys Tony Leonardi, 800m (3.03.65), Alex Gerbo, long jump (12-9).
Those receiving medals included: Audrey Sednesky third/fourth girls, first place 50m (8.14) and second place 400m (1.22.47); Victoria Kirkman, second place 200m fifth/sixth girls (32.94); Alex Gerbo, first place 200m fifth/sixth boys (31.66); Vincent Pindell, third place 200m K/1/2 boys (38.72); Kaitlyn Sugarman, third place 400m seventh/eighth girls (1.12.63); Marina Renzi, third place 400m fifth/sixth girls (1.15.50); Dan Hamar, third place 400m seventh/eighth boys (1.08.75); Hans Reelick third place 400m K/1/2 boys (1.27.78); Adelaide Meier third place 800m third/fourth girls (3.21.13); Joe Rios, second place broad jump (5-2) and second place softball throw (85-2); Wesley Scriven, second place broad jump third/fourth boys (5-6); and Matt Gerbo, first place 200m third/fourth boys (31.09)
