DEVON, Pennsylvania – Start making plans now.

The 28th annual Dressage at Devon – bring together some of the top competitors in the nation with world-class judges – will held September 24 through September 29 at the Devon Horse Show grounds in Devon, Pennsylvania.

Olympic medalist Robert Dover called Dressage at Devon “the standard by which all American horse shows should be judged.” Last year, more than 10,000 people attended the popular show on Saturday alone.

The Breed Division will open Dressage at Devon, which is considered one of the world’s most complete breed shows, with more than 400 horses competing in more than 50 classes, including 19 individual breed classes. The East Coast Series Final for the Cosequin® USDF Breeder’s Championship is the highlight of the division.

The Parade of Breeds concludes the individual breed classes.

The Performance Division will begin on Thursday, featuring competition at the FEI (Federation Equestrian International) level. There will be four Grand Prix classes, which is the highest level of dressage competition (as experienced in the Olympics).

The division will also feature the 2002 USA National Dressage Young Horse championship. It is also the qualifying competition for the 2002 North American Young Rider’s Dressage Championship and the championship venue for the FEI_Dressage Test for Five Year Old Horses and FEI_Dressage Test For Six Year Old Horses.

More than 700 volunteers will work together to make Dressage at Devon a success. The show will be presented by the Delaware Valley Combined Training Association and will benefit Thorncroft Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Inc., one of the oldest and largest therapeutic riding facilities in the nation.

Since 1991, Dressage at Devon had raised more than $700,000 for Thorncroft.
