Children’s Programs

Summer Reading: The summer reading program, “Reading Roundup,” has started! It will continue through August 16.

“Reading Roundup” is an ongoing independent reading program for children ages 4 to grade 5. Children read books and talk about what they are reading with young adult volunteers during library hours.

Participants receive coupons for pizza, ice cream, a Happy Meal and a free paperback after reading 20 books. Sign up any time during the seven-week program.

Older readers can participate in “Middle School Madness” and earn chances to win prizes donated by area businesses. No registration is required.

Adult Programs

The Summer Concert Series continues on July 12 with a concert by River City Slim and The Zydeco Hogs, and then concludes on August 2 with The Frank Porto Band.

Concerts are free and begin at 7 pm. Bring a picnic basket and your lawn chairs, and spend a happy hour listening to music in the Booth back yard.

In the event of rain concerts move indoors.

C.H. Booth Library, at 25 Main Street, is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm, Friday from noon to 5 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. The library is closed on Sundays during the summer.
