Carnaghi

Longtime Newtown Resident

Jean Grace Carnaghi, 73, of Southbury, died June 22, at her home. She was born March 4, 1938, in Bridgeport. Mrs Carnaghi was a resident of Newtown from 1974 to 2002.

The daughter of Genevieve and Ralph DeMeo, she is survived by her son and daughter, Andrew Michael Carnaghi, and wife Dr Roberta Levine Carnaghi, of Katonah, N.Y., and Cara Suzanne Carnaghi Ingalls, and husband Stephen A. Ingalls, of Lansing, Kan.; three grandsons; and a sister, Barbara. In addition to her parents, Mrs Carnaghi was preceded in death by her husband, Major Richard A. Carnaghi, US Army, in 2002.

Private graveside services and interment are scheduled for July 1, at the West Point Cemetery on the grounds of the United States Military Academy, at West Point, N.Y. Mrs. Carnaghi will be interred beside her late husband.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
