Erin Moulthrop & Benjamin Karsif

Cheryl and Bruce Moulthrop of Sandy Hook announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin L. Moulthrop of New Haven, to Benjamin B. Karsif, also of New Haven, son of Dr Brian D. Karsif and the late Terri Stern.

The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Newtown High School. She is also a graduate of Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., having earned a bachelor of science in corporate finance and accounting and a master’s degree in accounting. She is employed as a senior IT auditor, CISA, for People’s Bank in Bridgeport.

Erin is the granddaughter of the late Mr and Mrs Charles S. Tilson and the late Mr and Mrs Frederick G. Moulthrop. Benjamin is the grandson of Marian and the late Mr William Karsif, and of Marilyn and Robert Stern, both deceased.

Benjamin graduated from High School in the Community in New Haven, in 2003. He then attended and graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, N.Y., having earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. He is a senior technical support engineer for Datto, Inc, in Wilton.

A June 2012 wedding is being planned.
