A 10-year-old boy from the Newtown Pine Tree Hill Road area was found after wandering through acres and acres of woodland. Newtown Police Officers Maryhelen McCarthy and John McClusky walked down our laneway toward our bridge and saw the frightened boy. Their no-nonsense and professional approach kept this child calm and safe.
How comforting for Newtown residents to know that there are competent people in positions where split-second decisions might make the difference between safety and harm. With appreciation to the people that keep Newtown nicer and safer.
