Boys U14
With three straight wins, the Woodchucks captured the Boys U14 In-House soccer tournament championship.
In a 4-1 win over the Strikers in the tournament championship, Dan Kowarick, Thomas Capozziello, Evan Batzer and Andrew Bonvini scored the goals while Steven Jaroszewski and Brian Grimes did a great job guarding the net.
Chris Bock scored the goal for the Strikers while Harrison Gillis and Kevin Carney were key offense in getting them to the final game.
Great goaltending was performed by Patrick Stein, who was responsible for winning two shoot-outs in the tournament.
Boys U8
Tigersharks 2, Dragons 1 â Conner Miller scored the two goals off assists by Gabe Keogler and Ryan Durr to lead the âSharks to the win. Constant Gregoire was brilliant in goal, and Zane Lynch lead the defense. For the Dragons, Trevor Connolly supplied the lone goal. Deegan Beauchemin played strong offense while Nick Barrows kept the game close with great saves in goal. Isaiah Volpe kept the game close with strong field play the entire game.
Tigersharks 7, Goldenhawks 2 â Conner Miller scored three goals (one off an assist from Anthony Vournazos) to lead the âSharks to the win. Vournazos added two goals of his own, with Colin Reilly and Kevin Droniak each adding goals. Jordan Sock played strong on offense and Michael Marcinek controlled the middle as the T-Shark sweeper. For the âHawks, John Carlson scored both goals as James Barry pitched contributed an assist. John Beal and Thomas Meier played well.
