Library Book Sale

Starts July 1

The 31st Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale will take place Saturday, July 1, to Wednesday, July 5, at Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane, from 9 am to 5 pm each day. Trades Lane is located across from Fairfield Hills.

While the venue has changed, book lovers can expect to find the usual well-organized sale of more than 100,000 books. Plenty of free parking, air conditioning, and indoor plumbing will make browsing the categories of books, music, and magazines even more enjoyable than ever before. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand, as usual, to point buyers in the right direction.

On Saturday only, a $10 admission will be charged from 9 am to noon, and a $5 admission will be charged from noon to 5 pm. Early tickets sales begin at 7 am.

As in the past, bargain hunters will be pleased to know that Monday, July 3, is half-price day; Tuesday, July 4, books are $5 a bag; and on Wednesday, books are free.
