Dr Carol Gemayel and Mark Barra

Yaacoub and Monira Gemayel of Beirut, Lebanon, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr Carol Gemayel, to Mark Barra of Sandy Hook.

The future bride graduated from American University in Lebanon and completed her residency at St Luke’s-Roosevelt/Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. She is a cardiologist in private practice with Connecticut Multispecialty Group in Wethersfield.

The future bridegroom graduated from the University of Connecticut and has a master’s degree in global management. He currently operates Global Financial Consulting LLC, an international consultancy group.

A July wedding is being planned.
