Friends And Neighbors

To the Editor:

The tornado that struck in Newtown last month downed or damaged more than 30 trees on our property. The cleanup that initially looked so daunting is just about finished, thanks to many long hours of hard work by friends and neighbors who stepped in to help, without even being asked.  A few trees remain that require the skills of the pros to finish up.

We would like to thank our Drummers Lane and Sugar Street neighbors for their patience with the weeks of chainsaw / chipper noise, and smoke, and a special thanks to the following chainsaw / chipper crew for all their hard work:  Steve Bowman,  Allan Bush, Bob Decosta, Jeff Hansen, Phil Keane,  Jeff Kimball, Joe Maiorano, Joe Vacaro,  Dane Vontobel, and Jack Weber. Our gratitude always.
