The Forest

DERBY – The public is invited to join volunteer Peter Rzasa for a hike through the grounds of the Kellogg Estate and Osbornedale State Park in search of fragrances of the forest. The forest is filled with all kinds of scents, from wintergreen to skunk cabbage. See what you can uncover on this fascinating summer hike.

The hike will take place on Saturday, June 20 from 10 am to noon. Participants will meet in the front lobby of Kellogg Environmental Center at 10 am.

The program is free to the public. No registration is needed. For more information, call the Kellogg Environmental Cetner at (203) 734-2513 between 9 am and 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. The Kellogg Environmental Center is operated by the DEP’s office of communications and education and is located at 500 Hawthorne Avenue in Derby.
