Another Great School Year
Another Great School Year
To the Editor:
What a school year this has been! On the very first day of school, my best friend, Karen, moved to Rochester. Imagine how I felt driving the bus that day. I still greeted my kids with a smile. Three months later, another dear friend, Elsa, moved to North Carolina. Yikes!
Something, though, remained the same. The constant in my changing year was that I still love my bus and the kids that ride with me each and every day. I really mean it!
I have to thank everyone once again for their overwhelming generosity. I love reading the cards written from the kids, along with the pictures and then added words from the parents. I hope you all know how special you make me feel.
So now the school year is over. Some of kids on Bus 30 are moving away, and moving on to other schools. I wish you all the best of luck. For those who will get their driving permits and then licenses, even though you say you will never ride the bus again, the first snowstorm I know I will see you back on the bus even only for a day or two!
I also want to wish Hilary, my daughter, who graduated this year, the best of luck at Keene State. I want to wish my son, Adam, good luck in his senior year at RPI. It is hard to believe how time flies. They both went through their entire school experience in the Newtown school system beginning with Head Oâ Meadow.
Thank you all so very much for the gifts, cards, and pictures that I received. I will see you in late August. Enjoy the summer and again, thank you for another great and safe year transporting your kids!!! You are the best!
