Joshua Darren Milks, 32, died unexpectedly June 22. He was born October 21, 1975, to Jerry and Susan Milks and lived most of his life in Monroe.

 He is survived by his wife, Julie Mallozzi Milks; and five siblings, Jay, Carrie, Kyle, and Caitlin Milks of Sandy Hook, and Jonathan Milks and Dawn Turcott of Sandy Hook; nieces and nephews, James, Ali, and Jackson Milks of Redmond, Wash., Karen Milks of Southbury, and Jennifer, Josh, and Kaley Roberson of Ocala, Fla. Mr Milks was the son-in-law of Mario and Floria Mallozzi of Monroe, and brother-in-law to Jennifer Mallozzi and Rob and Thyme Krause, Vicki Mallozzi, and Mario, Rosanna, and Mariano Mallozzi.

He was an avid gardener, sports enthusiast (The Steelers), and a huge fan of the Grateful Dead.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 26, at Monroe Congregational Church.
