Preschool Registration In Southbury

Southbury –– Registration is now taking place for the 2003–2004 school year at St James Lutheran Church Pre school on Peter Road, across from Rochambeau Middle School. In addition to the regular preschool curriculum, the preschool offers music, creative movement, and nature classes as part of its enrichment program.

The music and creative movement teacher offers activities that are simple to learn and designed to help children discover new things about themselves and the world around them. Field trips include visits to the post office and the Southbury Veterinary Hospital.

Parents have the option to send their children two or three times a week. The St James Lutheran Church Preschool is a state-licensed, nonprofit program sponsored by St James Lutheran Church. It is also a member of the National, New England, Connecticut and Southwest Connecticut Association for the Education of Young Children. Staff is certified in American Red Cross Child CPR and Connecticut Childcare.
