Newtown 6, East Hartford 0 – Kelly O’Connor started Newton’s scoring with a quick goal. Sarah Murtha added two more while Casey Rutter, Sarah Attanasio and Rebecca Jaroszewski added one apiece as the Roadrunners dominated East Hartford. Emma Kingsley had a fine performance up front with a key assist. Jillian Jagoe played great at striker. Kelly Anne Brophy and Allison Pliszka anchored the stingy defense with Shannon Paproski in goal.

Newtown 5, Plainville 0 – Attanasio scored 24 seconds into this game and then scored a second time seven minutes later to jump-start another fine performance for the Roadrunners. Katie O’Dell, Jaroszewski and Pliszka each added a goal as the Roadrunners blanked Plainville. Julia Klucik and Paproski played great at striker with Kingsley providing good ball movement at midfield. Brophy led the defense while Rutter guarded the goal.

Newtown 1, Burlington 1 – O’Dell scored the lone goal for the Roadrunners in this hard-fought contest. Newtown almost held for the victory, but the Burlington All Stars scored with less than three minutes left to tie. Jagoe and Klucik played great at striker while Murtha played outstanding at midfield. Jaroszewski and O’Connor anchored the defense with Pliszka in goal.

Newtown 4, Wallingford 1 – Brophy started the scoring in this rain-soaked mud-fest with O’Connor, Pliszka, and O’Dell each adding one to the tally. Jagoe, Murtha and Kingsley played great at midfield keeping the pressure on the Wallingford defense. Paproski and Klucik had good all around games.

Girls U11

 

Rampage 5, Litchfield 0 – Kate Bowen scored three goals while Chelsea Fay and Hannah Basch-Gould scored one apiece to lead the Rampage to the win. Laura Bittman had a pair of assists. Laetitia de Brantes and Ellen Ritzinger played well on offense. Katie Pessin and Berenice Bryan earned the shutout in goal as Kirsten Hudock, Ally Modzelewski, Taylor Smith and Monica Warek anchored the defense.

Boys U14

 

The Storm 0, Southbury 0 – Luke Powers made several critical saves in the net to preserve the scoreless tie. Kevin Davies, Nick Rosa, and Tyler Bigham were strong on defense while Nick Kallivrousis and Matt Yakush anchored the defense.

New Hartford 3, The Storm 0 – The Storm were shorthanded and suffered a loss to New Hartford. Billy McCann and Tyler Bigham played well on defense while Nick Sando and Matt Norris were strong in the midfield. Neris Halili and Michael Parker had solid performances up front.

Girls U16

Newtown 2, Goshen 2 –  Newtown closed out their season with a tie with Goshen.  Kaitlyn Ferguson put in a rebound off a free kick at the 22 minute mark, and Sarah Salbu added another just six minutes later with an assist from Rachel Eastman.Goshen scored two late goals to tie the game. Kayla Mesko, Sarah Gutbrod and Mary Ober had good games.
