‘Look Good Feel Better’ Workshop At Danbury Hospital

DANBURY –– The American Cancer Society and the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital will conduct a “Look Good, Feel Better” workshop at Danbury Hospital on Monday, July 14. The free workshops take place at the Praxair Cancer Center conference room on the first floor of the Stroock Building, Locust Avenue entrance, from 10 am to noon.

The monthly workshops focus on teaching female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Trained volunteer beauty experts from the community lead small groups through practical, hands-on experience regarding makeup techniques, skincare, nail care, and options related to hair loss such as wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each program participant receives a free kit of cosmetics for use during and after the workshops.

“Look Good, Feel Better” workshops at Danbury Hospital for the balance of this year will be on August 11, September 8, October 20, and December 8.
