Historic Interpreters At East Hill Woods

SOUTHBURY –– A visit with Nathan Hale and Deborah Champion, via two historic interpreters from the Old State House, will take place on Tuesday, July 8, at 1:30 pm, at East Hill Woods in Southbury.

Deborah Champion was a Connecticut woman who rode through the British lines to deliver a message to General George Washington during the American Revolution. Nathan Hale was the first American captured and executed for spying; his story served as an inspiration for other patriots.
