Cherished Mother

Evelyn G. Olha Lacko, 85, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, died June 20. A loving wife and dedicated mother, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Lacko.

Her memory will be cherished by her three children, including Allen Lacko, and his wife, Ellen, of Newtown; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother.

Mrs Lacko worked at Bridgeport Metal Goods, Dictaphone, and other manufacturing facilities. After retirement, she worked part-time as a companion to residents of the Carlton Convalescent Home in Fairfield. In 2001, she moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where she made many friends and enjoyed playing Bingo and doing puzzles.

Calling hours are on Sunday, June 28, from 2 to 5 pm, at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, at 9:15 am, in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, and at 10 am in St Ann’s Church. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
