All town offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day.

The C.H. Booth Library and the Senior Center also will be closed.

The transfer station at the former landfill on Ethan Allen Road will be closed. Recycling on the DWD routes will not be picked up on Wednesday; the rest of the week pickups will be delayed by one day. Company officials at Pendergast, the other recycling hauler, could not be reached. Residents who have Wednesday pickup, and are unsure of which route they are on, are advised to put their recycling out as usual early Wednesday.

The offices of The Bee will be closed on the Fourth of July.
