 Upgrades For Anniversary
As part of their 40th anniversary year celebration, the people of Christ the King Lutheran Church are upgrading their building and grounds on Mt Pleasant Road.
A number of projects throughout the year will add to the beauty of the church and its setting. Already complete is the repainting of the steeple, the cross, and the eaves of the sanctuary. Earlier in the spring, the red doors and trim were given a new coat of paint.
The largest upgrade item will be the resurfacing of the main parking lot outside of the church, which will be done later in the summer season. Interior improvements to the building in the planning stages are a new carpet for the sanctuary area and some repainting in the office area.
Parishioners are supporting these projects through a special fund called âThe Lordâs House Improvement Program.â Supervision of the various anniversary year projects is being coordinated by the trustees of the congregation, led by David Jurman, the head trustee.
