American Music By Immanuel Lutheran Players

DANBURY — Immanuel Lutheran Players invite the public to “Red, White and Blues,” a concert of American music to feature organ preludes on Shaker tunes, songs from the Civil War, the music of Leonard Bernstein, Joplin rags, Sousa marches and favorite American songs.

The concert’s special guest will be the Rev John Welge, from Stow, Ohio. The event is planned for Sunday, July 22, beginning at 2 pm. Admission is by freewill donation.

Immanuel Lutheran Church is at 26 West Street in Danbury.

The public is welcome to sit in for fun and fellowship before the concert, beginning at noon. Those attending should bring a lawn chair for their seating, and lunch.
