Many Volunteers Made The Lobsterfest A Success

To the Editor:

On behalf of the members of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co Inc we would like to thank everyone involved in making our 2004 Lobsterfest a success. First and foremost to our members and our Ladies Auxiliary who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend to ensure everything ran smoothly.  We also would like to thank the many volunteers who came down to help us.

We would like to thank many businesses for their contributions to the event. First, thanks goes to J.P. Maguire Associates of Waterbury for their generous donation of the corn and the use of their truck. Also to St Rose Church and Father Bob for letting us borrow their chairs. We would also like to thank The Coach’s Deli in Sandy Hook and our band To The Max for helping us out.

Last, but not least, we also want to say thank you to our neighbors on Riverside Road, Sunnyview Terrace, and Johnson Drive for dealing with the loud music, noise, and traffic of the two-day event and your continued support of the fire department.

Thank you to everyone who attended this year and we hope everyone had a great time. The communities continued support of the department allows us to continue to serve you. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Sincerely,

BJ Halstead
