Robert J. Horahan

Robert J. Horahan, 66, husband of Alice (Ambrose) Horahan of Meadow Woods Lane, Sandy Hook, died June 22 at his home.

Mr Horahan was born in Bridgeport, September 14, 1934, a son of Margaret Kenderski of Stratford and the late John Horahan. He retired in June of 1997 as overhead line supervisor for United Illuminating after 45 years of service. Mr Horahan was a longtime resident of Stratford, until moving to Sandy Hook five years ago. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and was a member of the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two sons, Vincent Horahan and his wife, Susan, of Overland Park, Kan., and Colin Horahan and his wife, Heidi, of Tewksbury, Mass.; a daughter, Sheila Marcinauskis and her husband, Mitchell, of Shelton; two brothers, John Horahan of New Port Richey, Fla., and James Horahan of Shelton; four grandchildren, Devan and Keon Horahan, and Briana and Mitchell Marcinauskis.

Funeral services were held June 27 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
