Holocaust Group To Meet
Holocaust Group To Meet
WOODBURY â Holocaust survivors and children of survivors are invited to a breakfast meeting on Sunday, July 1, at 10 am at the office of the Federation: Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut, 73 Main Street South in Woodbury.
This will be a social gathering, a time to visit with each other and talk informally. Feel free to bring in photos, writing, newspaper articles, or anything else to share.
In addition, information and applications will be available for former slave and forced laborers to collect reparations from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. Survivors are reminded that the deadline for filing those forms is August 11, 2001.
Survivors and children of survivors are always welcome to attend these meetings, which are free of charge and sponsored by Brownstein Jewish Family Service of the Jewish Federation. The next meeting will take place on Sunday, August 5, when Laurie Kilchevsky and her teenage daughter talk about their participation in the âMarch of the Livingâ in Poland and Israel this past spring.
Please RSVP for the July 1 meeting, as a light breakfast will be served. For more information, contact Debby Horowitz, program director of Brownstein Jewish Family Service, at 263-5121, extension 304.
