HAWLEY

By Cathy Urfer

Happiness and excitement is what you’ll find here.

Always welcomed and never left out.

With your heart and brain helping you through.

Laughter and friends is what you’ll seek, and find.

Everyone teaching, learning, and understanding.

Your hard working and studying will never be left in vain.

My Favorite Part Of Hawley School

By Walter Murphy

My name is Walter Murphy. I am a fifth grade student at Hawley School. I am also a School News Reporter for The Newtown Bee. I have definitely enjoyed my experience here at Hawley and I hope that many more children come to this wonderful school. I will be moving up to middle school next year. I have always had great teachers and great classmates.

In first grade I had Mrs Mishico and in second grade I had Mrs Pesce. I had Mrs Trew in third grade and then Mrs Tracy in fourth. Now I’m in Mr Wilkinson’s fifth grade class. I really think that I learned a lot in all these years. I enjoyed all of the specials at Hawley, as well. I enjoyed gym and art the most, but they all were great.

The friends I made here at Hawley will also last just as long as the knowledge I obtained here. I met some great people here at Hawley and I can’t wait to make more friends at the middle school.

Mary Hawley founded a lot of this town and also built Hawley School. So thank you Mary Hawley for giving us a place to learn and make friends that will last our whole lives.

HAWLEY

By Meghan Barbour

Hooray for Hawley, it’s my very last week.

And I can remember my first day of school in Mrs Bushka’s class.

When I was at Hawley I had dozens of memories to keep.

Last day of school is the most fun time of the year for me.

Even though my six years were hard ones, I still had fun.

Years have passed on quickly, and now going on to sixth grade.

Hawley School

By Anne Berlioux

A name that I will never forget, it has been part of my life for the last six years. You could even say it was my second home, a place I made tons of friends that have been with me all six years. Oh, how I shall miss my school, the teachers are great and the fun is just as good. Each teacher does something different that you will remember.

Oh, I wish I could stay a little longer! I hope my brothers will have a good time just like I had.
